Here's my list of Japanese search terms for Smiles. A mix of English words and kana/kanji. The words here should be common "what someone would type in to Google" when looking for this sort of game. I'm limited to 100 characters (including commas), so the most common root word is preferred. If something seems too obscure, do let me know.
smiles,スマイルズ,笑み,笑顔,cute,かわいい,mahjong,麻雀,sudoku,数独,match,試合,楽しい,ゲーム,drop,落ちる,堕ちる,zen,禅,忍耐,puzzle,パズル,物理,女
And a list of everything above, with what I was thinking when I added it.
smiles - the name of the game
スマイルズ - Smiles in hiragana
笑み, 笑顔 - Smile and Smiles kanji
cute
かわいい - "kawaii"
mahjong, 麻雀 - the tile game "Mahjong"
sudoku, 数独 - the number game "Sudoku"
match, 試合 - hopefully the idea of "match" or "matching"
楽しい - fun (for the uncreative)
ゲーム - games/game (how one would casually refer to a video game)
drop - the name of the one game mode. an arcade puzzle game.
落ちる - "drop", implying a game where things fall
zen - the name of the other game mode. an almost solitaire/sudoku like puzzle game.
禅 - "zen", though I suspect it's not a commonly used term for games
忍耐 - "patience". Trying to imply a game like solitaire with this (also known as patience), or a thinking game
puzzle, パズル - "Puzzle", as Smiles is a puzzle game
物理 - "physics". It was "物理学" originally, but Google told me I could safely drop the 学.
女 - "woman/girl". I had 1 more character to use, so I thought I'd try something general
Feedback on the above is greatly appreciated.
Also! If you have any word suggestions that would come up in normal conversation to describe Smiles, Bejeweled, Mr.Driller, Tetris, or these sort of games, let me know. For example, we call them puzzle or matching games in English, but some people may also call them gem or block games.
Thanks,
